„Air Born“ – Detroit Captured From Above by Photographer Van Styles
Just have a look:
I keep finding myself going up in helicopters. Beyond the cities I have frequented before. When I was in Detroit recently I thought it would be a good idea to get a higher vantage point of the famed Motor City. We coordinated a sunrise flight and in the darkness of the early A.M. I found myself driving 45 minutes north to a remote airport for take off. What I noticed in the air was that the city is still recovering the economic downfall it has been experiencing. Abandoned buildings barely standing along with blocks and blocks of empty lots where residential homes should be it was something to take in. None the less it was still beautiful and pretty amazing to photograph. – Van Styles
