Awesome New Wallart-Pieces at „MURAL International Public Art Festival 2017“ in Montreal // Canada

Bereits zum fünften Jahr in Folge traf sich die internationale Street Art-Elite im kanadischen Montreal. Ab dem 8. Juni zelebrierten unter anderem namenhafte Künstler der Urban Art wie z.B. Ron English (USA), INSA (UK), 1010 (Germany), Mad C (Germany), Ricardo Cavolo (Spain), Fintan Magee (Australia), Ruben Sanchez (Spain), Nuria Mora (Spain), Smitheone (Mexico) oder Onur (Switzerland) gemeinsam das großartige „MURAL International Public Art Festival 2017“ im Südwesten der Provinz Québec. Innerhalb von 10 Tagen erhielt die Millionenstadt in Kanada zahlreiche neue und wahnsinnig gute Wallart-Pieces. Locals und Besucher Montreals dürfen sich beispielsweise ab sofort an einem gigantischen Tribute-Mural zu Ehren des großartigen Leonard Cohen erfreuen. Über 40 Meter erstreckt sich das imposante Wandbild, welches Künstler Kevin Ledo seiner Heimatstadt im Rahmen des Festivals spendierte (hier oben im Bild). Zu meinen persönlichen Favoriten zählen zudem die Pieces der kanadischen Artists Miss Me & Aydin Matlabi und Fluke, welche sich neben weiteren Highlights des „MURAL International Public Art Festival 2017“ direkt hier unten bestaunen lassen. For the fifth time, MURAL International Public Art Festival has just wrapped up and we are very happy to bring you a quick recap! Festival that started on June 8th and finished 18th of June brought us some marvellous murals took place and enhanced an already impressive and well-rounded route of artwork from the Quartier des spectacles up to Mile End, adding to the permanent public legacy of over 80 major works created by the Festival since 2013. Canadian weather wasn’t perfect for the artists during this festival – some days they had to deal with intense sun and heat, wind and rain, and even few cold days… Probably the most notable wall this year at MURAL festival was done by Kevin Ledo: tribute the the great Leonard Cohen. 130 foot high mural took 3 weeks to complete, a lot of paint and effort!
