„I’m Apparently Drawing Myself“ – Drawings by Veri Apriyatno (8 Pictures)

So viele Künstler aus Indonesien hatten wir hier noch nicht auf WHUDAT (ist aber ein schönes Land!), daher wird’s Zeit für Veri Apriyatno, der für seine hyperrealistischen Selbstportraits bekannt ist, welche wiederum durch einen M.C. Escher-Effekt (Darstellung unmöglicher Figuren, Ihr wisst schon) hervorstechen. Apriyatno arbeitet mit Bleistift auf Leinwand, das Auge auf Seite 2 wurde aber mit Zeichenkohle und Pastellstiften gemalt. Ziemlich dope Arbeiten:

„Indonesian artist Veri Apriyatno is known for his realistic self-portraits that have an Escher influence. The majority of his drawings were done with pencil on canvas, but others like the “Eye” were made with charcoal and pastel.“
