Adorable Sketchbook-Style Tattoos by Canadian Artist Naomi Chi

Zum Start in die neue Woche haben wir mal wieder ein wenig Tattoo-Inspiration für Euch: Die kanadische Künstlerin Naomi Chi aus Vancouver erstellt im örtlichen „Gastown Tattoo„-Studio ganz entzückende Ink-Artworks. Besonders beeindruckend kommen ihre Sketchbook-Style-Arbeiten daher, die durchaus an den Stil des brasilianischen Tattoo-Künstlers Victor Montaghini (hier gefeatured) erinnern. Einige Beispiele aus dem Schaffen der jungen Naomi Chi, die über ihre Arbeit selbst folgendes sagt: „My interest in visual art was spurred by animation, so capturing movement is important to me. I also strive to implicate a kind of immediacy in my my tattoos, so there’s a lot of improvisation — It keeps the process fresh and fun for me. Naomi Chi’s tattoos look like mostly finished pencil drawings. The Vancouver artist-student achieves this through her sketch-like style; the guiding lines and shapes used to compose the image are left in, giving the impression that you’re looking at an open sketchbook.
