Den neuen Longplayer „Man About Town“ von Mayer Hawthorne aus Los Angeles haben wir Euch vor genau einer Woche hier auf WHUDAT vorgestellt. Fast 3 Jahre ließ der ubersmoothe Soulsänger uns bekanntlich auf ein neues Album warten. Mittlerweile dürfte aber so ziemlich jeder festgestellt haben, dass sich das lange Ausharren auf ein neues Studio-Album von Mr.Hawthorne durchaus gelohnt hat. Gestern Abend war der gute Mann im El Capitan Theatre von Hollywood bei Jimmy Kimmels Late-Night-Show zu Gast und performte seinen Track „Love Like That“. Viel Spaß damit:
With Mayer Hawthorne’s quick-yet-sweet Man About Town LP in steady rotation, the soul singer stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! to perform „Love Like That“ and „Fancy Clothes.“ I gotta be real, though: I dig the hell out of „Love Like That,“ and I appreciate the energy up on stage, but maybe we shouldn’t be forcing these dance moves and hand claps, Mayer. But hey, at the very least, at least he’s rocking it better than Big Boi. Those old man dance moves have no place on TV.
