Soulection presents: Dpat – „In Bloom“ (Instrumental Mixtape)

Ich bin großer Fan von Dpat aus dem Soulection Dunstkreis, sein Blurry-Mixtape lief ewig auf Rotation, seine Tunes hatte ich auch öfter mal in meinen Vlogs. Jetzt kommt mit „In Bloom“ der offizielle Nachfolger des 23jährigen Beatbastlers aus Houston/Texas. Wie gewohnt gibt es sehr smoothe, soulful Instrumentals, die teilweise mit unterschiedlichen Instrumenten live von Dpat eingespielt wurden. Der Meister selbst beschreibt die Athmosphäre seines neuen Werkes als eher dunkel und zur nächtlichen Stimmung passend, „The album atmosphere is dark, contemplative, enigmatic and embodies a nocturnal vibe“ – aber hört selbst:

„In Bloom showcases a beautiful mixture of lush soundscapes layered with soulful rnb vocals and swirled in live instrumentation, in large part performed by the project’s creator, Dpat. The title track „Above Us“, represents Dpat’s soft, yet intentional beat structure full of dreamy keys, rnb charisma and Sango-infused bass lines. Angelic vocals from Austin-based Isles are weaved throughout the track making it a realistic glimpse into the sound story of In Bloom.“
