Curren$y & Alchemist kommen erneut zusammen für das „Continuance“ Album // Streams

Also wenn die Tage jetzt der Krieg losgeht, dann ja wohl wenigstens mit neuer Mucke von Spitta und Uncle Al, oder was meint ihr? 2011 haben sie es mit „Covert Coup“ gemaked, 2016 mit „The Carrolten Heist“ und für’s 2018er Album „Fetti“ kam ja sogar Freddie Gibbs kurz rum. 2022 und hier ist „Continuance“.

Currensy erzählte jüngst Folgendes zu diesem Projekt: „Dieses Projekt, das ich mit Alchemist habe, ist in der gleichen Art wie „Covert Coup“. Ich würde nie sagen, dass es Teil II ist, denn das wäre fast etwas zu large für die Art und Weise, wie die Leute dieses Projekt lieben. Es ist nostalgisch für das Jahr, in dem es herauskam, und was im Leben Aller vor sich ging. Zu sagen, dass ich den zweiten Teil darauf droppe, wären etwas zu große Fußstapfen. Mein Plan ist wirklich, etwas ebenso Eindrucksvolles zu schaffen, aber ein völlig anderes Tier.“ und das könnte durchaus geklappt haben. Es gibt insgesamt 13 Tracks, mit dabei ist auch „Half Moon Mornings„, wo wir jüngst das Video hier hatten. „This project I have with Alchemist is in the same vein of „Covert Coup“. I’d never say it’s part two, because that’d be a lot to try and emulate, the way people hold that project dear to them. It’s nostalgic to the year it came out and what was going on in everybody’s lives. To say I’m dropping part two to that is big shoes to fill. My plan really is to create something equally impactful, but a completely different animal.“ – Curren$y
