DIBIA$E – „Throwbacks Vol. 1“ (Green Llama Beattape)
Cali Beatsmith DIBIA$E hat mich noch nie enttäuscht, wenn, dann höchstens mal verwirrt. Mit Throwbacks dropt er jetzt aber eine Compilation – ich bin geneigt zu sagen: das Beste, was ich von ihm gehört habe. Offensichtlich hat er seine Festplatte aufgeräumt und ein paar alte, unveröffentlichte Perlen gefunden, diese mit neuen Beats vermischt und dabei drauf geachtet, dass sich ein gewisser, Green Llama-typical Vintage Vibe wie ein roter Faden durch das gesamte Album zieht. Und wie es sich für ein dopes Beattape aus Cali gehört, werden ein paar Tunes von keinem Geringeren als Mr. Shakur himself moderiert. Verdammt smoothes Teil, y’all should dig this:
THROWBACKS is pretty much self explanatory. The beats are a mixture of old and new, but the overall vibe of this project has a throwback vintage feel to it. Smooth but raw at the same time straight GREEN LLAMA trademark. Oh yeah, shoutout to 2pac on the intro on some gee shit. LLAMA!!!
