Oddisee x Toine – „NNGE“ (Official Video)
Fast hätte ich das Video zu „NNGE“ (Never Not Getting Enough) von Oddisee vergessen, welches auf seinem aktuellen und wieder sehr gutem Album „The Iceberg“ zu finden ist. Mit von der Partie ist Odds Homie Toine (DTMD) und inspiriert ist die Nummer vom sogenannten Go-Go-Movement in D.C., wo die beiden herkommen. Oddisee (feat) sagte neulich in einem Interview auf die Frage, was genau der Auslöser für den Inhalt dieser Nummer gewesen sei:
„As a minority in America, I’m used to adversity. I’m used to invisible walls and obstacles. It’s a lot of references musically and visually to the place that birthed us and raised us. It’s also the home of our nation’s capital, the home of our politics. So the lyrics tackle the political climate in Washington D.C. right now and the rest of the country, and the instrumentation is an ode to the local music that comes from that same city.“
