New Will Sessions! Wir haben die Brüder ja schon seit ihrer „Real Sessions“ aus 2011 auf dem Schirm und heute gibt es endlich neuen Funk-Shit aus Detroit: hier ist „The One“, ein Collabo-Projekt mit Amp Fiddler (Parliament / Funkadelic, Was Not Was, Mahogani Music) und Dames Brown, einem female Vocal Trio, ebenfalls aus Detroit. Freunde des progressiven Late-70ies Funk, Soul & Boogie sind hier an der richtigen Adresse, es gibt acht Tracks voller analoger Synths, Fender Rhodes und den original Funkadelic-Stimmen von Amp und den Dames. Dopeness des Tages!

„Stylistically the album has roots that go deep into late-70’s progressive funk, soul and boogie, with yers of live/electronic drums and percussion, funky synth and slap bass lines, snappy guitars, classic analog synths, Fender Rhodes, Clavinet, tight horns, and lush string arrangements, all accompanied by the vocal stylings of Amp and the Dames.“
