How to create a Surfboard? Das zeigt uns Surfing- und Surfboardbauing-Pro Jay Novak in diesem Video sehr eindrucksvoll, sogar gleich zwei Mal. Die erste Kreation nennt sich „The Hatchet“ und wurde für Noah Cohen angefertigt, das zweite Brett nennt sich „The Pocket Knife“ und wurde von Peter Devries in Auftrag gegeben. Seht die Modelle jeweils von Hartschaum-im-Regal bis zum Härtetest im Wasser:

Part I: The Hatchet is a model developed with mainly smaller and flatter waves in mind. Ridden a couple inches shorter and about half an inch wider than a standard shotrboard, it creates speed through flat sections but still allows you to lay it on rail when you are on steeper and more powerful wave faces.

Part II: The Pocket Knife is a model developed for anything from knee high to over head and a half. Thinned out high performance short board that holds rail well and fits very nicely in the pocket. Great for airs, tubes and turns. The board was shaped by Jay Novak and tested by Pete in Southern California.
