Momentan sorgt ein Künstler aus den skandinavischen Gefilden für jede Menge frischen Wind in der zeitgenössischen Kunst-Szene: S.E.M., von dem man nur weiß, dass er aus Dänemark kommt – mehr nicht. Seine bisher bekannten Artworks kommen allesamt aus dem Bereich der Pop-Art, sein Signature-Stil sind dunkle Außenränder und bunte Farben und Figuren wie Mickey Mouse oder Tim und Kapitän Haddock. Er selbst sagt über seine Kunst und über die Tatsache, komplett anonym zu bleiben „I have no bio. I´m selling my paintings – not my story.“ – kann man machen:
„Vibrant paintings on canvas by Denmark-based artist S.E.M. is definitely a gush of fresh wind in the world of contemporary art. Hardly anything is known about this artist, who skillfully combines abstract color layers with black outlines: as a matter of fact, keeping his identity a secret is part of his work vision: “I have no bio. I’m selling my paintings – not my story,” says S.E.M., and that’s all you’re getting from him!“
