Will Sessions veröffentlichten neues Projekt „Electromagnetic Reality“ // Stream
NEW WILL SEISSIONS! Ich erinner‘ mich noch als wäre es gestern gewesen, als ich das erste mal von Will Sessions gehört habe, das ist jetzt mehr als 11 Jahre her. Bei Will Sessions handelt es sich mehr oder weniger um die Live-Band für Black Milk, Guilty Simpson, Elzhi oder Phat Kat; der Detroit-Posse eben.
Ich war von der Musikalität und dem Funk der Band überwältigt und das hat sich bis heute nicht verändert, Jazz trifft auf HipHop und Soul, mit Live-Instrumenten und am Desk. Die Band besteht aus Sam Beaubien am Keyboard, Tim Shellabarger am Bass, Ryan Gimpert an der Klampfe, Bryan Arnold an den Drums, Quentin Joseph ebenfalls an den Drums (auf Track 5), Ian Finkelstein: Keyboard Solos/Additional Keys (Tracks 1, 3, 5, 11) und Marcus Elliot am Saxophone (Tracks 3, 6). Ich muss das ja nicht jedes Mal dazu sagen, ihr wisst es eh: das ist sensationell gute Musik!
